Waste to resource: a new circular economy for plastic packaging

On 11 April 2018, consumers, business and European authorities will meet in Brussels to offer fresh perspectives on the challenges facing the plastics packaging value chain – and the solutions we need for a circular economy.

Hosted by French plastics engineering cluster Plastipolis, the stakeholder dialogue will present the CIRC-PACK project, one of the EU’s latest innovation drives for a more sustainable plastics sector. NOVAMONT is partner of the project. 

CIRC-PACK is aiming to decouple plastics from fossil fuels by producing breakthrough biodegradable plastics with alternative bio-based raw material. It is also innovating its way to new “eco-design” packaging – which means better recycling of tough-to-manage packaging products.
