The European project Circ-Pack hosted at the Novamont’s Headquarters and Research Centre

The Consortium CIRC-PACK, a three year project funded by the EU with the aim to transform plastic packaging waste into new resources and of which NOVAMONT is a member, held his meeting at NOVAMONT’s Headquarters and Research Center.
 
The delegation, visited NOVAMONT’’s research and development laboratories, and was afterwards toured in the historic center of Novara, event organized in collaboration with the Local Tourist Agency – ATL.
 
CIRC-PACK aims to stimulate of the circular economy, through the development of biodegradable or compostable polymers and eco-projects that can simplify the sorting of waste, through new recycling technologies, aimed at improving the rates of recovery.
 
The consortium consists of 22 members from different sectors operating in the circular economy. These include NOVAMONT’’s subsidiaries Mater-Biopolymer and Mater-Biotech, and AITIIP, Bumaga, Tecnopackaging, MI-PLAST, Grupo SADA, Saponia, Fater, CRF, UNE, RINA Consulting SpA, Ekodenge, ECOEMBES, CALAF Industrial, OCU EDICIONES, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, Plastipolis and the Croatian city of Rijeka with the green district of Istanbul - Kartal District.
