Novamont among LIFT partners: the European project to "map" the bioeconomy
On May 6th the Novamont Headquarter and Research Centre hosted the Kick off meeting of LIFT "Boosting bioeconomy by maximizing CSAs results", the project funded by the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertacking (BBI JU) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
LIFT aims at mapping and analysing the results of work performed by the coordination and support actions (CSAs) on bioeconomy topics funded in the last years by FP7, H2020, BBI JU and Interreg, to provide a global overview of projects’ results, making them available for industries and policy makers.
The project is coordinated by LOBA, a Portuguese marketing and communication company, and among its partners, in addition to Novamont, there is FVA, an Italian company operating in the field of new media communication and BTG Biomass Technology Group, a Dutch independent group of companies specialized in biomass conversion processes.
Giulia Gregori, Head of Novamont Corporate Communication and Strategic Planning, opened the meeting, which was also attended by Alexandre Almeida - LOBA Director; Pietro Rigonat - LOBA Project Manager; John Vos - Senior Consultant BTG; Susanna Albertini - FVA Partner; Maria Teresa Riolo - Novamont Communication and web specialist; Melissa Nava - Novamont Project Funding Manager.
At the meeting they were also present: Antonella Canalis - Project Officer of BBI JU; Calliope Panoutsou –BBI JU scientific committee; Christophe Luguel - IAR Cluster and BIC board and Nelo Emerencia - BIC Director programming.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited Novamont research and development laboratories and its pilot plants, thusgetting to know even more closely its bioeconomy model.
