Mater-Biotech case study at ProESOF 2020
On May 31st the Industrial Union of Pordenone hosted "Circular economy and sustainable production: a strategic proposal for companies", a conference organized as part of the proESOF 2020 activities with the goal of spreading knowledge and best practices aimed at sustainability, the use of renewable energies and the implementation of the circular economy paradigm in the industrial and civil-tertiary sector.
The event was opened by Gunter Pauli, father of the Blue Economy and Novamont President, and attended by Stefano Dessì, Plant Manager of Mater-Biotech, a Novamont group’s company.
During his speech, Dessì illustrated the Novamont bioeconomy model, which led to the creation of the world-first dedicated industrial plant for the production of biobutanediol (1.4 BDO) directly from sugars.
