Novamont and Colussi launch the new MISURA product line with compostable packaging made of Mater-Bi

On 4 June , during the web talk "Common ground. The green revolution starts from the bioeconomy" Catia Bastioli, Novamont CEO and Angelo Colussi, president of Colussi Group, launched the new MISURA product line packaged in compostable multilayer film made of Mater-Bi.  

This innovation is the first of a kind totally compostable package with a barrier effect against oxygen and humidity for long shelf life products. As well as all the Mater-Bi applications, it is biodegradable and of renewable origin and can be composted together with food waste, thus helping to provide clean organic matter for the regeneration and maintenance of soil fertility.  

Catia Bastioli, during her speech, underlined the symbolic value of this innovation, which represents the result of the work  of the Italian bioplastics and biochemical sectors and the concrete example of what the application of a circular bioeconomy model can achieve, to change the development paradigm and regenerate resources rather than destroy them.
