Réseau CompostPlus delegation visits Novamont headquarters in Novara
On June 8, Novamont’s Headquarters and Research Centre of Novara hosted a delegation of member municipalities of Réseau CompostPlus, the French network of representatives from local authorities involved in collecting and valorising organic waste at the source.
Welcomed by the colleagues Christophe Deboissoudy, General Manager of Novamont France, and Simona Leroux, Communication and Environmental Project Manager of Novamont France, the 45 delegates had the opportunity to visit the laboratories and Research Center in Novara to discover our research activities in the field of bioplastics.
Moreover, they had the chance to learn more about the case study of the Biorepack Consortium, the first European extended producer responsibility (EPR) system dedicated to biodegradable and compostable plastic packaging, illustrated by Carmine Pagnozzi, Director of the Consortium.
Among the best practices presented during the event also the case study of Jemaco France, a Réseau CompostPlus’ supplier of compostable Mater-Bi bags and liners from 2019, which highlighted its commitment to ensuring high-quality biodegradable and compostable products.
