Novamont among the protagonists of the 12th International Conference of Bio-based Materials

From May 15th to 16th, the city of Cologne hosted the 12th International Conference of Bio-based Materials, the annual event, organized by Nova Institute, which brings together leading experts in the biotechnology, biopolymers and biochemicals sectors,  to discover the most innovative technologies and share the state of the art related to the development of materials from renewable origins.
 
Novamont attended the session “Biodegradable solutions” where, starting from the positioning of biodegradable and compostable materials within the current European legislative scenario, it illustrated Italian pioneering activities, which are becoming a powerful demonstrative case for sustainable development, such as the organic waste separate collection systems through the use of compostable bags or the use of compostable cutlery in the school canteens in Milan.
