Washington: Novamont among the protagonists of the ICABR Annual Conference

The 22nd edition of the ICABR Annual Conference, the International Consortium for Applied Research on Bioeconomy, is being held in Washington at the World Bank’s headquarters.
 
Promoted by the World Bank, the conference, entitled "Disruptive innovations, value chain and rural development", wants to be a discussion forum to facilitate interactions between the main bioeconomy stakeholders, the representatives of the public and private sectors, the university and  research sectors, civil society and international organizations.
 
This year the focus will be on the new agro-food chains, on their ability to stimulate technological development and innovation and on the political and institutional implications linked to transformation of the agri-food system.
 
On Friday 15th of June, Giulia Gregori, Head of Novamont's Strategic Planning and Institutional Communication, will speak in the session dedicated to The Bioeconomy Strategy and through the Novamont case study, will explain how the bioeconomy can represent the fundamental innovation for a real territorial regeneration.
 
The session will also include Fabio Fava of the University of Bologna, Justus Wesseler of Wageningen University, and Pasquale Pazienza and Caterina De Lucia of the University of Foggia.
 
ICABR founded in 1998, consists of a group of scholars representing various research institutes, including CEIS-University of Rome "Tor Vergata", Rutgers University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Monaco, University of Saskatchewan, Catholic University of Leuven, IFPRI, University of Campinas-UNICAMP, University of California Davis-UC Davis, University of Missouri, University of Hohenheim, Harvard Kennedy School, University of Wageningen, University of Iowa, University of Washington, University of Victoria.
