AGER-BI UNIVERSAL
AGER-BI UNIVERSAL is an innovative professional plant protection product based on pelargonic acid derived from vegetable oils. It effectively controls weeds and suckers in a variety of crops, including grapevine, hazelnut, olive, pome fruits (apple, pear, quince), and has proven efficacy in pre-harvest desiccation of potato, alfalfa grown for seed, and peanut.
Thanks to its contact mode of action, it does not affect the roots of treated weeds or the germination of seeds in the soil, thereby preserving soil quality and agricultural biodiversity.
APPLICATION PERIODS
HERBICIDAL / SUCKER CONTROL ACTION
DESICCANT ACTION
APPLICATION RATES
Grapevine, Pome Fruits, Hazelnut, Olive
Herbicidal treatment: Apply to weeds under the row or canopy at 14.5 L/ha with 200–300 L/ha of water. Preferably treat weeds in the pre-flowering stage with 2 applications spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Apply on dry vegetation, ideally in the morning, using fan nozzle equipment with 2–2.5 bar pressure to avoid contact with non-target vegetation.
Sucker control: Apply to non-woody suckers 15–20 cm in length at 14.5 L/ha in 200–300 L/ha of water. Perform 2 applications spaced 2–4 weeks apart.
Alfalfa (for seed production)
Desiccant treatment: Apply after the end of pod formation on mowed stands at 14.5 L/ha in 200–300 L/ha of water. Maximum of 2 applications, spaced 1–3 days apart.
Peanut
Desiccant treatment: Apply to standing or uprooted plants arranged in windrows to aid drying of above-ground biomass. Use 14.5 L/ha in 200–300 L/ha of water. Perform 2 applications at 1–3 day intervals.
Potato
Desiccant treatment: Apply at crop maturation, when basal leaf senescence begins. Max 2 applications per year on mowed plants, targeting about 15 cm above the base of the plant. Use 14.5 L/ha in 200–400 L/ha of water. Preferably apply in the morning with fan nozzles at 2–2.5 bar pressure.
APPLICATION METHODS
AGER-BI UNIVERSAL should be applied mechanically or manually by an operator equipped with a backpack motorized sprayer.
Thanks to its contact mode of action, it does not affect the roots of treated weeds or the germination of seeds in the soil, thereby preserving soil quality and agricultural biodiversity.
APPLICATION PERIODS
HERBICIDAL / SUCKER CONTROL ACTION
- Effective against mono- and dicotyledonous weeds in active growth and against non-woody suckers at a development stage of up to 10–15 cm in length.
- Minimum interval between treatments: 14–28 days, depending on the growth stage of weeds and suckers.
DESICCANT ACTION
- Pre-harvest treatment on mowed or uprooted crops.
- Minimum interval between treatments: 1–3 days (maximum 2 applications per year).
